The Birthday
Last weekend was very special because two major events happened. First, it was my mother-in-law's 50th birthday! We celebrated by going to a party that she had helped plan and organize for CASA, a non-profit organization that helps abused and neglected children in the Utah courts, where she is a commitee member/volunteer! She really did a great job organizing the event; the music was great and the food was delicious! (sadly I didn't even take any pictures of her)
They dedicated a Celia Cruz song to ME!!
The Farewell
Mary's departure finally arrived, and it was definitely very hard for the family so see her leave, but we are all so proud of her and we are 100% confident that she will be an AMAZING missionary! She well be in the MTC until the end of June learning Russian and then she'll fly to UKRAINE! I really hope she enjoys those 18 months cuz they are gonna go by way too fast!!
